Annual Report - Women's Fellowship 2010/2011

What better opportune time, than this wonderful moment, to review the past year and place perspective on what we have accomplished, take stock of the management of our resources and learn from our successes and from our shortfalls.

Praise and Thanks to our Lord for guiding us through the year. It is indeed our privilege to serve the Lord in this anointed ministry. Our special thanks go to our Vicar, Revd. Dr. Vijendra Daniel, for his personal interest in our work. We thank him for his constant moral and spiritual support.

Our Fellowship's main aim is to connect women with God, nourish their faith, and engage them in meaningful service in the church and to the community. We believe in transforming lives as we minister to the women. The objectives of the fellowship are:

  1. To include every woman of the church who is willing to cooperate in all its plans.
  2. To promote a closer fellowship with Christ and His Church.
  3. To be soul winners for Christ.
  4. To stress the importance of Daily Bible Reading and Bible Study.
  5. To visit and minister to the sick, lonely and the bereaved.

We strive not to miss out on anything that happens in church- the preaching, teaching, worship, other ministries and most of all the outpouring of the anointing that comes from our Most High God. We wish to share with all women our Mission, Vision and Purpose. Members are encouraged, through inspiring and learning, through each others' strengths and gifts.

Apart from our local activities we have also attended the conferences, the seminars and other events organized by the Diocesan Women's Council and the Upper Central Archdeaconry Women's Committee. We also participated in the "Women's World Day of Prayer", an Ecumenical event in the first quarter of the year (March).

In July, we organized a food sale. Our thanks to all of the Women's Fellowship members and the ladies of the congregation, who helped in every way to make this a great success.

Our on-going efforts include annual contributions to Seminary Theology Malaysia and charity organizations. We also supported our Church Sunday School Christmas Party and at the moment, we are raising funds for the new Church Van.

The last year saw contribution of time and effort of many people in the growth of our fellowship.  Thanks to all our sisters who prepare Sunday Coffee, provide transport whenever needed and special thanks to Mrs. Marina Peter for the upkeep of the church linen. Our thanks goes to Mrs. Susila Packianathan who graciously lead the Bible Study at our Cottage Prayer Meetings. Our Committee would like to thank the Office Staff and our verger, Mr. Gnanaprakasam for their services . We thank members of the Congregation for their support and contribution.

We invite other women to come and join us in 2011 and become actively involved in this endeavor towards working and growing together in our Spiritual walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
