THE WELFARE AND SOCIAL CONCERNS MINISTRY

INTRODUCTION

St. Barnabas Anglican Church Klang has a long standing history of social and community work. In the earlier years the Church provided accommodation (hostel facilities) for poor and needy students from rural areas who studied in schools in the Town. Further social work was carried out with a Drug Rehabilitation Centre run by the Church, which helped many young people find their way back into society.

Today in the wake of rising social concerns the Church continues to do its bit for the Community at large with programmes initiated by the Welfare and Social Concerns Ministry.

OBJECTIVE OF THE MINISTRY

The primary objective of the Ministry is to reach out to the poor and needy irrespective of race or religion, striving to make a difference to their lives by extending love, care and material aid.
