  1. Motivational Talk was organized for our Parishioners on 23.01.2011. The speaker was Mrs. Mary
Joseph, an experienced and humorous speaker who gave a talk & workshop on “The Christian Family”.
About 40 parishioners attended this aspiring talk.
  2. “Nature Walk” – A form of a ‘keep fit’ weekly activity held on weekends for members and the
Parishioners resumed from Sunday 23.01.2011. The response was however not encouraging and
had to be discontinued after a couple of attempts.
  3. An In-Door Prawn Fishing Competition was held for our members and Parishioners on 20.02.2011.
18 participants took part in this fun-filled activity. Prizes were awarded to the top 3 winners and the
rest received consolation prizes as well as their catch for the day.
  4. Visitation – A few of our men visited and had fellowship with Mr. Barnabas and his mother
    on 22.05.2011.
  5. Our Men’s Fellowship activities were included in our Church’s Website launched on Patronal Festival
    Day (29.05.2011)
  6. Orang Asli Mission Trip was held on 17.08.2011 at Kg.Ulu Kampar, Gopeng, Perak. The objective of
this mission trip was to get participants from the various auxiliary bodies of St.Barnabas Church to
interact and experience a meaningful fellowship of praise & worship, share the Gospel and show love to
the orang asli people. The trip was very successful with overwhelming support from our parishioners and
external parties. Our men did a wonderful job on the electrical installation and fittings.
  7. Men’s Fellowship Retreat – The retreat was held on 16th till 18th September 2011 at Pantai Remis near
to Kuala Selangor. A total of 17 members attended the retreat. Our Vicar gave a talk on the topic “how
men can contribute to attract the young generation back to church” as addressed by our Bishop in his
Presidential Address at the Diocesan Synod conference.
  8. Car Maintenance Talk 2 – The talk was conducted by Daniel Rajamony and Chandra Bogar on 23.10.2011.
We had a good turnout of about 25 people from our Church. It was said to be a very informative session especially to the lady drivers.
  9. The Men Fellowship organized a Parish Gotong Royong on 07.11.2011. About 60 participants from the
various auxiliary bodies turned up to give their full support. Cleaning, grass cutting, repair works and
the disposal of unwanted items was carried out around the church, parsonage and the community hall.
  10. Our men organized an “A Fire Preventive Awareness Seminar” for the parishioners on 20.11.2011.
Around 10 of our parishioners attended. The seminar was well received and served as an eye-opener
for considering fire safety measures as a priority in home and other places. A similar talk was again
arranged on 11.12.2011 for our Home members, staff and the children.
  11. Christian Book Store – The bookstore had to be closed since December 2011 as we find insufficient time
    to manage and operate it.
  12. There was a follow-up visit to Kg.Ulu Kampar on 5th & 6th February 2012 - Eight of our members went to
check and make good all electrical equipments that were installed during the earlier mission trip on
17.08.2011. In addition to the making good of the electrical installation, a drainage system around the
Chapel at the village was constructed to avoid flooding and soil erosion during rainfall.
  13. Six of us from the Men’s Fellowship attended the 15th Anniversary Celebration of Gereja Shalom,
Gopeng held on 25.09.2011. Bishop Ng Moon Hing was there to grace the occasion. The Orang Asli
people presented their traditional dances with much enthusiasm.
  14. Pledge Contribution for a New Church Van - As at February 2012 the collection stands at RM 4,600.00.
We are optimistic of achieving our pledge amounting to RM 7,200.00 by April 2012.

Apart from our activities, our Men’s Fellowship is always committed to provide assistance whether in cash or kind in the various church activities and events when requested.
